"Nice accommodation for budget travellers. The room was clean and spacious and the „resort“ is slowly being renovated. You have got an incredibly large reef along the entire beach and can even visit some reef sharks. The hike to Honeymoon Beach takes less than ten minutes. Staff was friendly and helpful but not as warm-hearted as at other accommodations. To get to Nacula Island, you have 2 transportation options. A 5 hour boat ride for $100USD, or a 30 min flight for $200/pp with a minimum of two people. I took the boat since I travel alone, but I do have to say, the flight looked pretty cool arriving/departing every few days.

Super friendly staff

"Our lasting memory of Nanuya Island Resort will be the welcoming and friendly staff. Their warmth and hospitality was appreciated - including the songs and entertainment! We stayed in one of the tree-top bures, which was a bit of a hike (especially after dinner). It was clean but quite small. If you're looking for more space and air conditioning, check out the deluxe units."

"I was in desperate need for a break from people. This tiny resort was just right. The staff were so wonderful. Lucy was amazing! I felt like i was home. Just note. The caving is strictly CASH. NOT CASH /DEBIT card- yes somehow i forgot. I left refreshed. Thank you wonderful people! "

"We enjoyed the island, it was beautiful. The food was good and plentiful but got fed the same things over and over. We knew what to expect from a homestay but we found that there was nothing to do except snorkle without paying for activity fees. So bring lots of cash! We expected to be asked for school donation and we did, but was not ok with being asked for donating to their family directly. We felt that paying for the homestay fee and for the activities was sufficient. But it was uncomfortable to be constantly told how much money they needed (this was just one individual doing this) Most everyone else was lovely. So try it out but be aware. Oh... and there was no kava ceremony or cultural activities unless you request and pay. "

"Great location for relaxing and access to good snorkelling. Friendly welcome with family feel vibe from the helpful staff. Good flexibility around activities on offer. Lovely room presentation on arrival. Nice food and good value for money. Good discount on return travel to the mainland via the 'Seabus'. The only weak aspect was our shower leaked hot water so the shower wasn't running as warm as it should."

"When you book they will tell you that this is not a resort but it is really good. Did not understand why they wrote that to me. You have a huge house just for yourself with amazing garden or beach view. You have a fan mosquito net and some dimmers to make the light less strong in case you want to have it more chill and romantic. The family is very friendly. Clean and tidy. I had flowers in the house when arrived and they made sure we had a great stay. Activities are okay. There is a rock about 50m out of the beach and there is nice snorkelling with corrals."
