"This is a great place to stay on Raiatea with its own little beach. We liked the open concept and the property management is very accommodating. The beach isn’t the best for swimming due to lots of coral but we did enjoy kayaking to the nearby Motu where more swimming possibilities exist. The nearby restaurant that you can walk to, Fish & Blue, is a real treat. "

"We arrived late in the dark due to several plane delays. We were able to communicate these changes with managers. They were fast to communicate going up and beyond to help navigate our arrival. In addition, they spoke with our car rental group to let them know our situation. We did not have a chance to eat after being in airports over 7 hours. The managers provided us with snacks, fresh bread slices and fish salad and freshly cut mango! It was delicious and so appreciated. It had been a long day."

"From the time we arrived, until we left, our stay was extraordinary! The front desk staff was very accommodating with arranging trips and transportation. We were happy to have opted for the half board meal plan which provided a well done selection of meals. I would highly recommend the Raiatea Lodge Hotel."

"New property, there are three separate lodge houses. It's on the main road that circles the island. My house had a full size frig, 4 burner gas stove, microwave, full sink, cable channel TV, strong wifi, ceiling fan in the living room, nice bathroom and AC in the bedroom. It's around 5 miles from Uturoa, past the airport. So, you need to rent a car or scooter. There is a small car and scooter rental place three minute walk from the lodges. Called Havaii Rent. Small sign in front of their driveway. Elderly couple own it. "

"Beach access to snorkel or kayak "

"We arrived late afternoon and were unable to open the lock box to access the key. Our USA phone would not connect a local call so we had to find someone with a phone willing to call the local cohost to get us in. We found out that we had been given the wrong code. We loved the folding glass doors opening our room up to a beautiful view. The other two wood doors to access the bathroom and the front door were such a tight fit we had trouble opening and closing them. The outdoor kitchen is a good idea but it was constantly flooded with water during this time of year. It was also poorly equipped with dishes and towels and cleaning products. We did enjoy the use of the kayaks! It would have been nice to have a couple of plastic lounge chairs to sit in on the deck."
