I would give Zamas 20 stars if possible! We stayed in a private beachfront hut where you could hear the ocean. It was absolutely beautiful and the service (from the front desk to the parking lot security team) and quality of facility was impeccable. The cozy hammocks outside our door, to which room service will deliver tacos, were icing on the cake. There is a busy-ish road behind the huts but you can’t hear or see from the room.

Short drive to Tulum beach when it’s seaweed season. Housekeeping is excellent! Staff is friendly and helpful. Property is generally quiet. AC is very good. Restaurants in walking distance. Beds are comfortable.

The staff was the nicest! The rooms were so funky and special. The location was near many restaurants and the mexidivers tour shop. We loved to sit on the beautiful beach all afternoon.

Tulum GEM!
Zamas Hotel is an absolute GEM! We wanted to be more in the community rather than in a big all-inclusive and Zamas was perfect! The staff was so friendly and helpful, our room was right on the beach and the food was PHENOMINAL! It was conveniently located in a moderately busy part of town so it was quiet at night and only a 10min drive down to the party section of Tulum. The room was so cute and the hotel did a great job cleaning every day. I was worried about the heat and the AC in the room worked wonderfully. I would 1000% stay here again.

Great family vacation
Beautiful location! Very relaxing trip. Our cabana was in the garden on the beach side, and had a lovely view and ocean breeze kept us comfortable. There is limited electricity; lights and ceiling fans plus an outlet for charging your phone/camera/computer. A real chance to get away from it all but have friendly staff, great food in the restaurant, and world-class views. Don't miss it!

The staff was wonderful. From the people working at the restaurant/bar, the concierge Daniel, Fernando & Abigail to the security team. All friendly and provided great recommendations. We stayed at the Signature Room, Upper Floor Oceanview. It’s across the street. It was worth it. You can hear the waves all night. Gorgeous inside and out. Restaurant food and drinks are really good. Make sure you get the colectivo (mini bus/van)to head to the centro and other locations. Very convenient. Just tell the driver where you are headed. Taxis are pricey! Regresaríamos a este hotel sin pensarlo dos veces. Gracias.

My friends and I just returned from a brilliant trip to Tulum. We stayed at the Zamas Hotel for 3 nights and we could not have been more happy! The location is spectacular, right on the beach in a quiet yet central area. The food and bar service was consistently awesome. Our room was a perfect mix of rustic and comfortable. Most importantly, the staff were extremely helpful and great to converse with. They assisted us with transportation and answered all of our numerous questions. Abi, Daniel, Fernando, and Iliana in particular were just so fantastic and so super helpful. I would highly recommend this property 😀!

First time in Tulum, not the last!
The room: We had a cabana on the beach which we reserved for a great deal at the time, maybe $150 a night. Great for the price, would not pay above that for this room as it was bare bones, tiny, no A/C, no dresser, no chairs, no hooks to hang towels or wet clothes (you know, things you pay extra for). You really don't need those things in Tulum anyway so we were completely content, just wouldn't go back if the price were higher. We could hear traffic from the street but it wasn't bothersome and never woke us, I imagine the rooms closer to the street would be obnoxious noise wise. Either way, bring earplugs. The birds start screaming at dawn (not bad because sunrise in Tulum is beautiful). Restaurant: Good food, we ate most meals here as we were too lazy to head out (aside from Chencho's down the street which is great affordable, authentic food). Their restaurant offers enough variety so you can eat there multiple times without getting bored. They do have rotating chef's though so I can only hope they're all great. They also had live bands or DJ's every night until 10:00 so you could easily make dinner last hours if you felt like lounging. Also, breakfast overlooking the ocean was an amazing way to wake up every morning. Beach: Water was beautiful, occasional waves but not overwhelming. Unfortunately, there were some random rocks out in the water that we kept hitting our toes on. I didn't encounter the rock issue at other beaches in Tulum but that may just be coincidence. There were plenty of palapas to go around, I rarely saw people having to lay directly on the sand. Tip: Ask the front desk for a cooler and some ice so you can BYOB to the beach! Would def stay here again, but will be looking for other hotels on our next trip just to see what else is out there. If you're looking to be pampered, this is not your hotel. If you're up for a little rustic, you've found a home.
