My first impression was the place was cute. It was awkward because there's a door and a long hallway into a room and every door has a lock but not sure why all the locks are needed for a studio apartment. There was a set of shampoo, conditioner, and lotion bottles but they were used and partially full. They only supplied one roll of toilet paper and when I asked for more I was told I had to purchase my own. When I would plug in an appliance into an outlet, the outlet covers would fall off. The location is in a new part of Tulum so it's a little underdeveloped right now. Because of this there's very limited dining and nothing really within short walking distance. You're in the jungle so at night when it's dark you're pretty isolated without a car or a scooter which I didn't have. So I had to walk in the dark using my phone as a light. The power kept going in and out and I was without water (no toilet) and air conditioning for the last 24 hours which was never resolved before I left. There's no concierge so you only talk to somebody via WhatsApp regarding your stay. They said that they were aware of the issue and somebody would fix it but nobody ever came to my room. The bathroom is sweltering hot because the air conditioner only cools the bedroom portion of the studio.
