I’ve stayed at this lodge twice, once in 2020 and now again in 2024. As someone who works for a 4-diamond hotel in downtown Chicago for the past 10 years, I’d like to offer my honest opinion. For what the property is both inside and out it’s a solid stay. The rooms are consistently clean, and I’ve never encountered any issues like trash etc... While the property might be a bit outdated, it’s important to keep in mind that you’re not staying in a high-rise hotel in Chicago or New York. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the parking is very convenient. The location, just off the expressway, is also ideal for easy access. I’d recommend this lodge to anyone, and I’ll definitely stay again in the future. A big thank you to the staff for making each stay pleasant.

Nothing here to justify the extremely hi priced rooms. I noticed a better deal of $54 and took it. Same room typucalky is twice the price so I never cinsider staying there anymore.

I have been coming here since 2017. Always stay at one of the cabins. There was a fire here a few years back at the restaurant was lost. Seems like if you look around the property is going downhill a bit.

Overall for the price my expectations were exceeded. Staff was very nice and check in was easy. We had planned to dine at the Smokehouse Restaurant and although Google claims it's open until 9PM on Sundays, they had closed at 5PM, so that was disappointing. The bedding and pillows were a bit worn and lumpy, and the dead bolt latch on the back of the door was missing, but overall it was clean and very quiet.

We didn’t go into this cabin expecting luxury but what we got was very disappointing. The cabin was very dirty, smelled of smoke and mold and you had to stand in your dirty water to shower. The website talks of high cleanliness standards, that is just not true. Every inch if the cabin was dirty, there was even blood spattered on side of bathtub. The floors and cabinet for clothes were filthy. The back door was inoperable due to broken handle. The cobwebs everywhere told the story of how often the cabins really get cleaned.

We had a lovely, quintessential Tennessee stay here. Being from the UK, we absolutely loved it. The staff were great, the place is a great price and we had a great time at the restaurant with live music. Awesome stay!
