"Great room, very nice evening meal"

"Stayed for Valentine’s which included dinner (up to £40 Per Person) & breakfast. Main was ok but monkfish over cooked & pork under ( fat not rendered enough). They offered to take the fish main off the bill which was £32, as not finished & mentioned not the best. When we checked out the £32 was not put towards the drinks bill but as other than this we had a nice time & staff were great we never said anything. Overall good with great staff & fantastic breakfast. I would say could do with some...

"Having spent years staying in National chain hotels this pub was exceptional & a breath of fresh air. Friendly helpful staff, comfortable bed & clean on suite rooms. Breakfast was probably the best freshly cooked that I've ever had. 5* for me. I would definitely recommend."

"The pub is a nice character place from the outside but inside needs some tlc. It's really a good locals boozer with rooms. Can be noisy both later on at night (I stayed on a Monday which seems to be student night). In the morning you get sound's of the city waking up, Garbage lorry at 5am. No breakfast either so don't expect it, but on the plus your right on the town for dining out etc. Wouldn't rule it out but might look elsewhere first. "

"Hotels.com took booking. 2 days later The Accommodation rang me direct to advise they were closing the weekend I was due to stay. Contacted Hotels.com and after several connection issues with an out of UK contact centre was unable to find alternative. Bit hacked off as was advised my refund would take 7-10 days to process. Should have been immediate if out of my control. Found another booking privately. Hotels.com still asking me how my stay was!!!"

"Just stayed for 2 nights, the Inn has 12 rooms free fast wifi, and the two rooms we had, family room and standard room, were spacious , clean, and lots of hot water for bath and shower, and we had a virtual check in, we booked pre covid-19, for a great price from Hotels.com, and it was great to see that that the inn hadnt closed down, it was a pity the restaurant and bar were closed, but we undertstand why! The full English breakfasts were cooked to order, and there was a lot of leeway ...
