"Amazed with the cleanliness of the apartment and friendliness of the owners. The apartment is a converted barn/horse stalls and they did a great job making it feel like home away from home. The kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, toaster oven, coffee pot, and even a crock pot! We toured the sanctuary on our 2nd day and Dona’s passion for the animals shined as she told us about each one and her efforts to conserve some of the species she houses. We cannot wait to return."

"We arrived and had one issue, but our host was very quick to take care of the problem. I was very impressed with her care and compassion for our comfort. The location is perfect. There is a Publix, Walmart, Starbucks and eatery, in a 5 minute drive away. I did bring some baking tools and was able to bake cookies, granola and other tasty treats with ease. We love that there is a dedicated traffic light at the entrance/exit to this safe community. The condo was more than we wanted to pay, but it...

"Duck Haven was the perfect getaway for my boyfriend and I. We were able to explore during the day and have a nice and cozy apartment to come back to at night. I loved being able to look out our window and see the sheep, and looking at the horses as we pulled up the driveway. Dona was a very accommodating host, and her tour of the sanctuary on the property was so interesting and fun!"

"Location is far enough that it's gave the quiet serene feeling we were looking for. We even got to see firefly's for the first time since we were all kids. The road leading to the house is unpaved so please be careful. The property manager stayed on property near by in case we needed anything. Apologies if we watched movies to loud."
