"I suspect this is a totally refurbished Communist-era hotel but it has been refurbished magnificently. It is just over the river from the Central Park and just below the wooded Belvedere, creating a quiet, almost non-urban setting. It is an easy 10 minute walk to all the sights in Cluj and there is a bus stop with a goodconnection to the train station just beside the main entrance. Breakfast was sumptuous and generous too."

"The cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in! We weren’t sent the room entry codes ahead of time but a quick call to the manager fixed that and he sent them right away. The location is perfect - within walking distance to a lot of main attractions. The only downside is there is no dedicated parking and areas around the hotel are hard to find. "

"SPA EITHER NOT FUNCTIONAL OR 'NOT INCLUDED'. EITHER WAY A CON. I booked this hotel on the basis of its advertised spa facilities. When I went down to use them I was informed they were 'out of service' - no indication had been given prior to my arrival or even at check-in. I asked about the possibility of a partial refund on the basis that I had spent significantly more on Paradis for the pool and sauna than I would have for other accommodation. I was told by two different receptionists that...

"Chose for price and reasonable 15 mins walk to town, same to station. Good seating, loft bed but firm. Shower hot and nice bathroom. More of motel but quiet considering. Plenty of greenery but lacking colour which gave slightly drab exterior. Good value & staff lovely."
