"This is a beautiful, centrally located hotel in a historic building. You’d be hard pressed to find a nicer place to stay in Marseille. Because of the size and age of the building, the air conditioning wasn’t quite as cold as I would’ve like but I otherwise have nothing but good things to say about the hotel. Get a room with a balcony if you can - it’s worth it!"

"The Alex Hotel & Spa was booked due to it's close proximity to the train station. The staff upon check-in were helpful & friendly and our room was clean and renovated - it was one of our favorite stays in France! Also, the balcony was a plus and was a great way to relax and unwind after a day of travel while still enjoying the city."

I did not need any help until I was checking-out, when the reception staff kindly telephoned for a taxi for me to the airport. They even refunded my deposit, without even checking the room!
