"Absolutely beautiful place. We stayed in a modern room - number 1 - with a beautiful outdoor patio and separate balcony overlooking the town. A tub & a shower! The property was beautiful and conveniently located. The whole staff treated us like family specially Agnes. She was amazing. She was so helpful and even booked our dinner reservations one night. "The hotel is on a square in a lovely part of town, with free parking available on the square and a street back too. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, with a small pool and space to lounge in the sun. The rooms were very clean and the electric blinds kept out the sun brilliantly. The staff didn't speak much english but we muddled through."

"The hotel is rather small (a very good thing for me!), but the room I had was large and the bathroom too. It was modern and very clean, with A/C. It was called Mallus and had a French door to the street which meant I had to have the blind down all the time for privacy, really the only drawback to it all. The breakfast is very good, fresh, and the manager very kind and dedicated. I highly recommend!"

"Lovely, quiet place, close to very beautiful scenery and authentic Portuguese rural experience. Loved the burros! But like most pools in Portugal, too cold to use. Not sure why no one installs solar water heaters on a nearby roof top to heat the pool as it would be fairly inexpensive investment. Also wonder why most of all shower enclosures in Europe leak water onto the floor."

"Great place. Wonderfully decorated with robin’s egg blue trim, sturdy and functional furnishings. Just beautiful, the way the light streams in from the shuttered windows.
