"Room was great, service friendly and helpful. We arrived during a snow storm and parking was easy and snow was shoveled and ground throughly salted which was much appreciated. Only disappointment was the continental breakfast. It was lackluster and just like you’d get at a Hampton inn. We are also disappointed that the restaurant wasn’t open for dinner Sunday night. "

"We had a great time at The Amelia this past weekend. The property is beautiful, and we loved how the whole house was usable to our discretion: there was a living room with a fireplace, the kitchen was stocked with breakfast items and snacks kindly prepared by the hosts, and the backyard had a fire pit perfect for the cold weather we experienced. The rooms were also very cozy and spacious. Would definitely go back again or recommend to anyone considering a trip to the area!"

"My room was clean with fresh sheets and duvet on a comfortable bed. I loved the walk-in ceramic shower. The curtains show a little wear but that did not bother me. "My daughter & I came up from NYC for a family get-together and the cottage was perfectly located -- & sized -- for us. Loved it! Cozy and warm even though it was single digit cold the whole time. Really appreciated the comfy beds, the fire stove and the holiday decorations. Had hoped to make a fire in the fire ring out back... but it was just TOO COLD. Lots of things to do, restaurants & shops in the area -- next time in better weather!"

So fun!

"We had an incredible time here for a girls' weekend enjoying everything that is wonderful about the Hudson Valley in October. The home is beautiful, comfortable, and endlessly interesting with the art, decor, and styling to admire. We could not find potholders or napkins, and so ended up using towels and paper towels respectively. We did use the oven regularly for preparing our meals and also had to look up the owners manual online to figure out how to turn the oven on - these were the only things we struggled with during our stay "

Wonderful River View

"For this vacation we were looking for a place where the scenery came to us, and we could just relax, not feel like we had to spend every day out, "seeing" something. The Boathouse was perfect for that. The living/dining area provides a view of approximately 16 miles of The Hudson river. We could check an online maritime traffic tracker to see what was heading our way, and/or use it to identify most commercial ships and many private boats that passed. And the upper and lower decks are great for watching them go by. Being October, our view across the river included colorful fall foliage in addition to the Amtrak trains heading north and south. The Boathouse is in a nice, quiet neighborhood. Beds and (inside and outside) furniture are very comfortable. Lucas was immediately responsive when we had a question. We hope it is still available for another stay in the future."
