"I had the worst experience with a host. After I booked and paid through Vrbo, for 48 nights for 14 persons, the owner asked for an additional payment of 42% of the price. I thought it is unbelievable. I did not accept this, I wanted to cancel. After some days of messaging, when the emergency state was imposed in France and she realized she will not get other guests, she accepted my offer to pay a small additional amount and finalized the booking. "Our host Elisabeth was most gracious as we arrived in the dark of night and she could not have made our accomodations more warm and welcoming. This home is a gem, and having this as a home base in Normandy was a wonderful experience. I can imagine that stayingwould make i a 6-star+"
