"This was a lovely old house from another era, an adorable private garden and situated at the quiet end of a lovely village. Could use some renovation and a more modern kitchen, if you were going to stay longer than a few days, but was fine for our short stay. Mr. Tixier was available just around the corner and by phone at a moment's notice which we really appreciated. He was responsive and nice--the things you need when travelling, as we were, in another country :) "

"We were a party of 5 young at heart seniors who enjoyed every minute. The accommodation was of a high standard and a lot of thought went into the detail to make our stay 5*. The beds were very comfortable and the ensuites immaculate. The weather at the time was hot and we made use of the lovely pool and aircon. The location was perfect, isolated and quiet, yet only 6km from a delightful village Monpazier. I hope we have the pleasure of returning again. Thank you Sonja & Mark"

"Excellent communication beforehand. Arranged meal on first night which was excellent. Owners very welcoming and knowledgeable about the local area. The house was so clean, the two bathrooms were a godsend so no hanging about waiting for them to become vacant. Lovely sitting area outside even though it was a bit chilly in the evenings. Local area is full of lovely places to visit."

"Characterful farmhouse in beautiful countryside .Far enough away from neighbours that you can let your hair down but can also enjoy the complete peace and quiet too.Beautiful Belvès and Cadouin a shortish drive away ensured restaurants when you fancies. The local night markets are not too be missed. During the heat wave the pool was essential and any issues with it were quickly resolved. There are low beams throughout the property with thoughtfully hung pom-poms to bring your attention to them....

"We were given a lovely welcome by Maria and Santiago, and a nice basket of local food and drink. The grounds of the house are beautiful and spacious with plenty of activities and lots of equipment. The pool was super. The house is very well equipped with all you need. Our week coincided with a serious heatwave and it was impossible to keep the bedrooms cool despite the fans. There is no Wi-Fi at the property but 4G was ok.We were a little more remote than we expected but we had a great relaxing...

"This house & Beynac are phenomenal! Host quickly responds to all emails and house staff Martine & Andrea are just great. Both helpful & informative. Martine even let us park in her driveway to avoid the parking lot. Both recommendations they gave us were perfect: La Petite Tonnelle - great restaurant steps from the house, and Sarissa at Taxi & Touring a la Carte provided us with a local winery tour that was educational & enjoyable! "We have had a disappointing experience with this vacation rental. All four of us have suffered from bed bugs. We initially thought we were dealing with mosquitoes. But the bites got so big and painful that it wasn't until later that we realized we were dealing with bed bugs. We complained about this to the landlord afterwards and it seemed only reasonable to us that they would refund half as our holiday enjoyment was seriously ruined. We have not received any response from the landlords."
