The check in was terrible. The staff were rude to my son who was on his way back to the US from college and almost did not allow him to stay even though I was willing to provide my credit card over the phone to them. I could hear the staff yelling at him rudely and they refused to speak to me over the phone. I was afraid that he might have to be out in the cold, but luckily they came to their senses and allowed him to stay with $200 US dollar deposit from his debit card. The whole situation was just terrible. I don't think that I will ever stay at that hotel.

The room is fine, the staff are great, but the parking garage has a very challenging entry for mid-sized and larger vehicles. Also, not all pay stations advise hotel guest not to pay for parking in the garage. That would have been nice to know upfront. It was $13 more to pay in the garage.

I have reviewed this property before, as I have stayed here often. You have to pay attention to price and make your reservation when the price is right. This was a weekend away with a stage show to boot. Everything is great including the show. One note to parents, this hotel does not have a pool and hence if you are looking for that try a different hotel. This is a very walkable hotel for the downtown core and best of all, the hotel is right next store to the path system, so on those cold winter days, you can skip the weather and stay inside and still get to shopping and such.

Front desk staff were friendly and gave us two bottles at check in. Having security and key pass access for late night access to the hotel made us feel safe. Morning coffee and muffins in the lobby were a nice touch to a pleasant stay.
