"You cannot beat the location! Two minute walk from Galata Tower! Cute neighborhood, walkable to Galata bridge and Sultanahmet neighborhood. Istiklal Avenue is minutes away. I loved the cobblestone streets around the hotel , small cafes. Lots of dining options, souvenir shops, very vibrant area. The room was decent , spacious, may be just a bit dated. Comfortable queen size bed. We had a third person who had to sleep on the couch, which was wide enough but did not unfold and was a bit firm. But...

"We only stayed at the De Reve for 1 night because we were catching a cruise ship the next day. Istanbul is such a great city and we would love to come back and stay longer. If/when we do, we would definitely stay at the De Reve again. The hotel was amazing but the staff was even better! The couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating, plus the breakfast was really, really good! "

Location was down by the port which served me well to use the efficient street cars to get to the sultanahmet area very quickly—much faster than by car— not a whole lot of restaurants real close to hotel —walked up to Taksim quite frequently — but it was …UP .. so only to be attempted by a person with a reasonable level of fitness— i would stay here again "
