I have been staying at The B Ikebukuro for the last 15 years whenever I go to Tokyo. Ikebukuro East side is much more quite than the west side and way less hectic than Shinjuku. This hotel is very close to the station with easy access to both JR and Metro.

Convenient, close to a family mart AND 7-11. Ikebukuro station is a short walk, and there are so many restaurants and things to do. The staff is friendly and the gym is amazing (not included in the hotel price) The room itself is a little small but it is clean, and if you get a room on a higher floor, you’ll love the view.

Extremely practical. Met all my needs. The location is outstanding, minutes from one of the main railway stations, Ikebukuro. I could even run every morning from this location, just by crossing the nearby bridge. I thoroughly recommend breakfast, especially the smoothy. There are plenty of eateries nearby. There’s a super local place opposite.

Wifi can't be connected well throughout my 4 nights staying. Only successfully connected one time in the first day after check-in. Very bad impression. I had to use my pocket wifi only at night in hotel. Generally, the hotel provided good service as other hotels do. The most impressive advantage is the location that near Metro station and many restaurants surrounded.

The B has been my main stay for the past 12 years. It has great access to food and shopping and easy transport by train or subway. And the area is more quiet than other touristy spots like Shinjuku and Ueno.
