"Average experience, this is clearly a newly open residence and only one floor is in service while the owner is still renovating the second floor. Maybe a lot for one person to handle , but professionalism could improve, cleanliness was ok but not perfect and while some things are newly renovated, this is an older building. Owner is helpful though and this may all improve in time . For now it’s a bit expensive for what it is, but there is limited options on Aka island anyways. "

"Yuumi and her team were so lovely and made us feel so welcome in Aka! They picked us up from the port even though it was a short way which was so helpful with our luggage. Hosei is right on the beach front and you can see the best sunset from here as well as relax in the day. It is so tranquil! "I will start by saying, Do NOT stay here. We arrived at this run down, disgusting looking building at check in time to find a back in 20 minutes sign and a sign out the front with names and rooms (ours had my incorrect name using my middle name). The room assigned to us was locked, so we waited the 20 minutes, which turned into two HOURS until some helpful person called the owner for us, who told us that the room we were meant to be in was not the one on the paper. "Great place to stay, with a very friendly host! Simple, but ample amenities, and great location! The host made us Japanese and American style breakfasts from scratch everyday! Sleeping on the floor futons took some getting used to, but my wife and I had a great stay!"
