"We stayed for 3 night's with a large family group. Overall we had a great time. Yes some decor and carpets are dated but its very clean. Its a quirky, very old hotel with lots of stairs and corridors which might not be suitable for all. The ensuite in our rooms were newly refurbished and modern. Housekeepers were very helpful and accommodating. Bar manager Wayne was hard working, friendly and fun, all the bar staff and breakfast servers etc were lovely. "

"The is a lovely little in, ideal for a short stop-over. The staff in the pub were extremely welcoming, it has a great atmosphere, and the food was outstanding. The only down side is, the room I stayed in is next to a commercial site which has bright spotlights, this means that even with the curtains closed the room wasn't overly dark. Also the bed wasn't that comfortable, so I didn't sleep very well. Overall a pleasant stay, and possibly somewhere I would consider for a future stay."
