"A real gem, across the road from the station or use the great free car park next door. Reception was welcoming and after hearing about a bad night at a national chain the night before they promptly sorted an upgrade of room for us - so kind. Breakfast was served in a sunny open room with lots of choices and cooked to order! A fabulous way to set you up for the day. "

"This is a great country pub. The property is beautiful and the room and bathroom was absolutely spotless. We had a great evening meal and breakfast the following morning. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again if ever we are in the area."

"Just needed an overnight stay before an early morning appointment at Musgrove Park Hospital. This was a beautifully kept property, and so convenient for both the Hospital and for Taunton town centre. I am in a wheelchair, and although there was not a wheelchair accessible room available (it had already been booked), the staff found me a wonderful ground floor room that was totally suitable for my needs. The room was warm and comfortable, and exactly what I was looking for. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if I was looking for another overnight stay in the town. Thank you very much to all staff concerned."

"Great place to stay for a few days. I was looking for somewhere just outside of Cardiff for a few days for a break on my way down to London, turned out to be a very convenient stay and great value too. My room was nicely heated, comfortable bed, good water pressure and clean. The Hotel has a nice bar downstairs for a Friday night drink (very quiet too). Staff were quite friendly and there were a few good options for local cafes and restaurants. It's a good choice and good value. I only stayed two nights. Took a nice drive down to Penarth on morning for breakfast and a walk (10 min drive). Likewise it's not a long drive to Cardiff CBD. Good stay. "
