"Great no-frills appartment - clean, spacious, in good condition and comfortable (low ceilings and a bit dark as the windows faced the woodland, but it couldn't be helped and it didn't spoil our stay). A pity about the damp smell in the beautiful old main building where the bar and restaurant are but all the staff were friendly, very helpful and the food was good. Good access to coastal walks and for Lancaster too. Ideal for our needs as a group of friends getting together. The pool was nice but...

"We had to chase up the check in process whilst we were waiting outside the property, no information beforehand. There were a number of issues which we commented on to the owner. There was no response, or any acknowledgement of receiving my message. The issues were mainly solved but the day before we left! No WiFi from Tuesday evening until we left on the Thursday, and no communication back on this. Apartment was very small and could do with a bit of tlc all over. All the windows, apart from one,...

"Very friendly welcome and check in. Positive first impression of reception area. Room was generally in good condition, clean and well-presented. Everything worked, plenty of hot water in powerful shower. Food quality very good for the price, varied menu options each day for dinner. The bed suited my preference just right, as did the pillows. Sheets and linen were clean and fresh. Only slight criticism would be that behind the beds needed hoovering, it was a little dusty (something I only noticed because I dropped something) and the bathroom window needed cleaning. Overall however, I very much enjoyed the stay. Every member of staff I spoke to was friendly but also smartly presented and professional. Would happily stay again. "

Another lovely stay here

"We have been coming to this Hotel for years always get a friendly welcome & feel it offers very good service & price. Managed to get a free upgrade to a very spacious & beautiful suite which enhanced our trip how lovely! The place is spotless,staff always helpful & the food is hot, tasty & suits every palate & allergies. Very near to the town so only a short walk so perfect really!"
