"Check in went OK. The location is really nice, rural and peaceful but not as quiet as it seems. More traffic than you think but it’s still peaceful and a nice location. Staff a mix of friendly and some not so friendly or welcoming. We ate dinner in the bar - food was good and tasty, although very expensive. There was a lot of it - I would be quite happy with slightly less and it being cheaper. Breakfast was disappointed - no real direction. The cold breakfast was OK but not 5 star. We...

"Staff were really friendly but there was no property owned parking so had to park across the road in a public car park. The bed was large and comfortable with good quality linen. We were given a special access room on the ground floor but we were looking forward to a bath in the room which is what I thought we had booked but not a major issue but if you are booking you may want to make them aware if you want a bath rather than wet room. "

"A picturesque inn, in a beautiful area. Staff made us feel welcomed the moment we stepped through the door. Throughout our stay, everyone was so helpful and friendly. Clean and tidy room with spacious bathroom. Meals were excellent. Chefs are first class and every meal cooked to perfection. Quality food. A hearty breakfast provided a great start to our days. Even the dog got a sausage. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and will definitely be back. Thank you to everyone at the Bay Horse Inn. "

"A lovely friendly and welcoming place. Our room had a great fresh and clean smell as we entered and when I requested extra little milk cartons I was asked if I preferred fresh milk - oh yes. The beds were very comfy. Just what we needed. A table was reserved for our evening meal and it didn't disappoint. I hadn't expected the possibility of a roast Sunday dinner on the evening, and it was amazing, delicious and I didn't leave a scrap. My hubby was just as thrilled with his steak and ale pie....

"All the staff at the Anglers Arms were lovely, they couldn’t do enough for you. All the food we had (3 breakfasts &. 1 dinner) was very good. The hotel is in need of some modernisation but we know that Joanne and the team are working on this, given a little time they will get everything right but in the meantime it is still a good place to stay and excellent value."
