"Property is not found at 53 Riverside Road, Matale. Given phone is switched off but he answered on the previous day and asked us to come. According to him weather was ok but weather was terreble and came back home because no place to stay at the night. I had to block my card as well. The worst experience I have ever had. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone."

"Nothing to like about. Ripped pillow cases, unrecognizable stains on bedsheets. Broken toilet seat, also unbearable stench. Extremely poor hygiene of service staff. Most of all the owner is a physician and should know better about cleanliness. Did not stay, had to find alternate accommodation at a very high price since it was last minute. My family and I have been using Expedia for a long time for all our travel needs and I have to say that I am disappointed that you guys had something like this...

"Upgraded to their new hotel which was very good, excellent swimming pool though hand rails would help. Annoyingly, for a brand new hotel, you had out of bed to turn the lights off! Grounds beautifully maintained. Food fine. A pleasant ambience for relaxing. Across the road from the Elephant Orphanage. Close to other Elephant Charities and the Elephant Poo Paper factory which was an interesting visit."

"Kandy can be quite expensive, so we booked this place in nearby (and non-touristy) Matale for a fraction of the prices further South. It's a short walk or tuk tuk from the main bus stop. It's a wedding/reception venue with a few modest rooms and a lovely deck for meals. Our room was excellent for the price, though we chose to 'upgrade' to get the aircon remote for another USD $5. Although we hadn't organised in advance, they were able to serve us dinner for a small fee too. There's no toilet...

"The panamamic views surrounding the house are absolutely gorgeous! My wife and I have stayed at places all over the world (36 countries and counting) and this house ranks in our top 5. The room is huge (with a large, modern bathroom), and the house has a stocked game room with pool, ping pong, foosball, and more plus a giant chessboard outside.
