"Very serene atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff. Great seeing all the animals in the safari. Good breakfast. The only regret was having laundry service which was a nightmare!! They washed our clothes with other People's clothes. They hung the clothes up in metal hangers which distorted the shapes of the pants and shirts. Work was still being done, trash was everywhere, and when there was the slightest stain on an already dirty bed cover, many people had no doubt left those stains and had to pay to "replace' them, but they were used over and over. "The staff were very friendly and we enjoyed the sunset cruise and floating market cruise they offered (very affordable). The breakfast and dinner was fantastic! Although the rooms were comfortable and had hot water and good wifi, we didn't sleep well due to the thin/open walls which didn't block out the noise from outside or from our neighbours. "It started out as a disaster. The room had no Wi-Fi and a shower that did not work. The next room had a TV that did not work. Finally, the 3rd attempt proved successful. Everything worked properly and it was a very enjoyable stay. Unfortunately, there is a lot that needs to be repaired or upgraded for this to be a great hotel again. Fortunately, they have a good staff willing to help and make the stay enjoyable. The free breakfast left a lot to be desired, but again the people working there made it a pleasant experience. They need new TVs in most rooms, new shower fitting, better Wi-Fi routers and/or extenders, and new batteries for the door locks. Even with the problems, I would still consider staying again if I could get one of the few good rooms."
