The old warehouse: a completely renovated apartment in the center of Leiden

Beautiful apartment beautifully situated in the center of Leiden. With 2 bedrooms, full kitchen and a large bathroom. Perfectly located in the heart of the city, at the end of the shopping street. All terraces, shops, restaurants and theaters are within walking distance. A dream apartment!
The house has a cozy living room with a beautiful wooden floor. The open kitchen is equipped with an induction hob, fridge, dishwasher and combi microwave. There is a place at the living room / kitchen. The master bedroom has a comfortable king size box spring. In the second bedroom there is also a king size box spring, from which two single beds can easily be made. The bathroom has a shower and a wonderful bath to recover from a pleasant day in Leiden. The location could not be better: in the middle of the old town, surrounded by dozens of restaurants, cafes and terraces. You do not need a taxi, because the entire center is within walking distance. Welcome to this top apartment in this beautiful city!

The apartment is on the ground floor. No steps outside, no stairs in the house.

In principle I am only there when checking in and when checking out. But if there is anything, I can always be reached!

At 50m. distance is the bus stop. The Central station is a 10-minute walk (through the shopping street).

Home Away From Home
We have enjoyed this property as our "home away from home". So convenient to all the sights, foods, stores, pubs, restaurants you may wish for, and a beautiful and short walk, or bus ride, from the train station. Leiden is wonderful, a smaller scale version of Amsterdam w/o the tourists and noise. The apartment was wonderful: All one needs for an extended stay: Clean, quiet, bright, comfortable beds (King in one room; 2 twins in the second bedroom), convenient kitchenette, washer and dryer. Our hosts were very friendly, responsive and helpful. No need for a car here! Enjoy the walking, extremely convenient public transportation to take in sights, history and conveniences. Easy to travel to other parts of the country or abroad, and so much to see and do around Leiden. Amsterdam Central 35 minutes by train; The Hague 20 minutes; The beach 25 minutes by bus; Lakes, canals, parks, the Singel Walk; University of Leiden; Museums; Did I mention the restaurants? Cafes? The bicyclists - Watch out for them! Simply a beautiful town, and a fantastic place to stay, to enjoy. All highly recommended! We plan to be back!

Leiden vacation
Our family group of 3 seniors spent 3 weeks in this beautiful apartment. We walked everywhere seeing many top flight attractions in Leiden and in general enjoying this charming old city. We also traveled by train to several other cities on day trips. Great place.

Leiden is a relaxing base for visiting the Netherlands. The new tap-in, tap-out integrated transport system makes Leiden the perfect choice for visiting The Hague, Delft, Haarlem, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, all from one location. Leiden itself is also full of interest. Sabine's quiet apartment is located in a nice part of town, a 20 minute walk from Leiden station, or two minutes on the 400 bus. The apartment has everything you would need, although the use of some "free" bikes would be a greatly attractive addition.

A Gem in the centre of the Old Tiown
Our hosts were very helpful and responsive to our contact. The apartment is ground floor and quite spacious with all listed facilities in excellent condition. Handy to the main shopping area and a short walk to many of the key sights. Don’t forget to take a small boat canal cruise!

Great stay in Leiden!
As Canadians that have lived in The Netherlands, we have learned a lot about what to look for in good accommodation. This property has it all. We loved our stay here. Just a classic apartment with all the necessary features and more. The proximity to Haarlemmerstraat combined with the quiet side street, was perfect. Also, it was nice to have a ground floor unit without any stairs. We would highly recommend this property.

Great apartment ,but…
The apartment itself was lovely and wonderfully located for walking around beautiful Leiden. The problems were all about the interactions with the hosts, who didn’t inform us that a festival was still in progress, which meant that getting to the property by cab was impossible. Check in was difficult to arrange. Interactions with the host the next day after arrival was brusque and somewhat rude.

Perfect for us
First of all, we love Leiden. The Old Warehouse was the perfect home for us during our stay. The apartment is exactly like the photos. It is clean, comfortable, and quiet. The beds are great. The location couldn’t be better. We could walk everywhere, including to the train station. There is a good supermarket close by. Sabine is a delightful host. When we return to Leiden, we will stay here again.

The property is exactly as shown. Very cozy! Accessible by walking or bus. Perhaps it should be noted that the description says 2 bathrooms, when actually it is a shower /bath room and the toilet is in a separate area. Very well stocked kitchen. Perhaps could use a few more mirrors throughout.

Beautiful and spacious. Everything is clean and brand new. Top quality appliances, comfortable beds and linens. Washer and dryer a real plus. Small enclosed terrace with bench. Great location. I've been to Leiden for work about 35 time. At the risk of it not being available when I want to use it, this property was probably my favorite. Quiet, clean, modern, comfortable bed, etc.

Simply the best!!
We just completed a two week tour of Europe, staying in five countries with VRBO properties, and this was hands down the best of all! The property is situated on a non-vehicle street with lots of shops and restaurants, very close to canals. Old City Leiden is in easy walking distance, and there is a convenient large grocery store nearby. A fantastic Italian restaurant, O Sole Mio, is steps away - their pizza and lasagna al forno is a must! The property itself is beautifully appointed, beds are super comfortable with spacious rooms (for Europe!). The bathroom had a surprise soaking tub, which was a real bonus after days of walking and tired feet. There is also a full washer/dryer combo which was awesome for cleaning travel clothes. Sabine, our host, was so communicative and helpful from initial booking through to the conclusion of our stay. She met us at the property on check in to orient us to the appliances and gave us the great restaurant recommendations, etc. She was amazing! Highly recommend this property and the Leiden area. We loved it!

Lovely Leiden
We had a super stay in Leiden. Sabine was a great host and the apartment was exactly as described. Only one point to highlight is that there is building work right outside the entrance to the apartment which sometimes meant you had people stood outside talking early in the morning or had equipment blocking your path but no major issues. I imagine once built this may block some of the natural daylight in the living area. Apart from that everything was super and the city is delightful. Easy walk to train station to reach many other super cities!
