"I can’t say enough about the friendliness of the staff! Such a lovely group of people! Our room was clean and comfortable. LOVED the sound of the jungle critters day and night. Had some heavy rain moments, but it was refreshing and beautiful. Easy access to hiking trails with spectacular jungle views and waterfalls. The zip line was one of a kind! Highly recommend this resort for those looking for a jungle experience. Important tip: bug spray is a must! There are little black flies called botless flies that take a bite that is noticed but not painful, but the itching is irritating for days! Other than that, absolutely wonderful! "

"Our stay was March 16-23rd. Two adults and an 11 year old. We stayed in the Deluxe Garden View room which actually had a very nice view of the ocean and was also a suite of two bedrooms, so our daughter had her own room which made her very happy and comfy. The room was beautiful throughout. The staff got to know our names quickly and it very like home by day two. The resort was full but the pool was never really crowded nor was the beach. There were many times where felt like the only people at the resort. The restaurant and bars available on the property were great. The dock had a really cool spot for seeing fish at night. Our daughter loved it. The beach and water were really nice though there was a sargasm mess for a few days. It didn’t hamper our fun. Hopkins village is loaded with food spots. Our two favourites were Ellas Cool Spot & Nice Cream Ice Cream Shoppe. We rented a golf cart for the week which made it easy to get around town. We took a tour to Xunantunich which was amazing and also went on a half-day fishing excursion which was also crazy cool. We caught a barracuda and numerous snapper. A truly perfect week for us. Weather was exactly as forecast with no surprises. I highly recommend this place. We spent a bit more than expected while there but it was definitely worth it. "

"We loved staying at Belizean Bliss and in Hopkins. Hopkins has so much great food and nice people (much nicer than the people we met in Hawaii last year). The house was super clean with a nice entry room/porch and many windows overlooking the sea.Many of the knick-knacks, throws, and paintings in the house are also available at the big gift store in town, which was a great local touch.If we changed one thing about our trip it would have been to drive ourselves less, rent a golf cart to go to town, and have local drivers to drive us to farther destinations - the roads really are chaotic with varying speeds, horses, kids, speed ramps, etc."
