"We had an excellent time with Lang and family- thank you for the warm hospitality. The lodging is situated on a hill and provides a vantage view of the valley. "Location was very convenient, homemade breakfast was great as well. But the best part of Sapa Local House was the staff. He allowed us to check in early after an overnight train and sorted our onward bus for us. We also hired a motorbike for the day which was very convenient - he sorted everything. "Was it really a homestay if they have european toilets and shower plus no interaction between homeowner and guest? Also about 20 beds available for a 'homestay' and guests are served pancakes for breakfast - not the true vietnamese breakfast the family was enjoying 10 metres from us.Calling it a back to basic bed and breakfast or guesthouse would be much more accurate.The whole homestay concept is totally overrated and should be avoided. "I stayed at the Family room (2 bedrooms), ample space for all. We got the mountain view. Fantastic view during clear sky especially in the morning. About 5 mins walk to Moana. We arrived 6am and the staff allowed us to use the washroom to freshen up and leave our luggage at the reception counter. It's safe ya to leave your luggage there. A gem in the clouds of Sapa.

"From entrance to dining, the hotel exudes the decadence and flamboyance of a French colonial past. This hotel is truly luxurious and although a bit pricier for Vietnam it is so worth the extra for the lovely stay it gives. The swimming pool is so outstandingly lavish. By far the best pool we’ve ever swam in. The staff are very friendly and go beyond to make sure we were looked after. "

Nice room with great view

"The hotel rooms facing the mountain has a nice view. It is slightly marred by people speaking loudly at night and also was kind of disappointed when I booked a mountain facing a grand deluxe room for two adult and one child, but it only had one king sized bed. Was actually expecting a single bed. Thankfully my child is small sized and the nice breakfast and view "

"Nothing to fault with this property. We were looked after by the fabulous staff from the moment we arrived. We were presented with a welcome drink, our bags were stored until checkin (we arrived early after travelling to Sapa on the overnight train) and we were offered the use of showers in the pool area. This continued throughout our stay, with Sarah checking in on us every day via WhatsAp to see if we needed any advice or assistance with planning our day. We have never had this level of personalised service anywhere else we have stayed. The room was very spacious, and the view… wow! The hotel is perfectly located on the edge of town, making it quiet but only a short 5 minute walk to all the nearby shops and cafes. While there is some construction next door at the moment, we were not disturbed by this at all. Overall, this hotel is incredible value for money."
