"My family came into town for the Statesville Hot Air Balloon Festival. We had a great weekend staying on Lake Norman in this quaint home. We cherished the quiet and seclusion while still being close to town. We used the kayaks and fished off the dock. Clean and comfortable! Jamie was easy to communicate with and quick to respond. Only wish it could’ve lasted longer. "

"This has been one of the best getaway trips we have been on. Our son wanted to celebrate his 13th birthday in a special way by going on a fishing trip, so we searched for a place right on the lake. We came across this place, and it was the absolute best decision! We all have loved it so much, and we are going to start a new tradition by booking this place around this time yearly. "My wife and I enjoyed our time at the Mt Holly Cottage. It’s a relaxing, peaceful, home with a vintage feel. The communication with the host was easy (by text). It’s min from the main strip in Mt. Holly but also close to the National Whitewater Center. We drove around the Charlotte area and was only 10-15 min to popular areas like NoDa, Southpark, and Southend. We had a nice time at the cottage. Thank You"

"After 5 days of nothing in Black Mountain and after the wrath of Helene, my family escaped to this little cottage on Lake Norman. My 7 year old boy, Breccan’ couldn't stop running and jumping off the dock. The cottage is perfect for 3-4 people. Great great neighborhood. Excellent food in the area! And we grilled a few time on the porch. Highly recommended! "

The hot tub was not clean when we arrived but the owner was very responsive and it was cleaned for the next day. The hot tub service company was very nice to deal with. I'd stay here again"

"Everything went well on the trip. Very cozy home and well stocked! The overall cleanliness and stay was a 4 because 1. Grass was over grown. 2. Patio door did not lock, was hard to feel safe but they did have a piece of wood to secure it. 3. Going down to the dock the railing on the right is very loose and unsafe. Would we go back?! Absolutely!!!! Very peaceful "
