"We stayed for 1 night en route to Cefalu. It's quite off the beaten track with some windy roads. Our room was clean and tidy, basic but spacious with air conditioning! However, we asked for some food as we arrived in the evening, and whilst the small plates of tapas were enjoyable, the Manager proceeded to charge us €15 each (€30 total) for some ham, tomato and mozzarella, bread, aubergine and a bottle of water. "This is a beautiful property and a great location -- all for a reasonable price. I do recommend it but with a few caveats. The good: it's outside Cefalu (about a 10 minute drive to the center of town). As wonderful as Cefalu is, its quite busy and bustling...and this place is a peaceful haven. "We were an adult family group of n Sicily for the first time and Villa Consiglio was the perfect place to explore from. The Villa, pool and its many terraces enjoy views towards Palermo and Cefalu which could be easily reached by car or train. The villa was quiet and away from the centre but just a few minutes to the town by car. The owners went to great lengths to welcome us and Carlo was always available to deal with any questions, to guide us to the villa and run us to the train station....

"Property located adjacent to very old olive tree orchard. Scenic mountain back drop with ocean view. Spacious upstairs flat with full amenities. Beautiful pool and garden in the yard. Private driveway. Only 2 cons, must have rental car because located in a hard to access part of Trabia, roads are difficult to navigate. And property owners speak very little English, so just plan to use google translate. Highly recommend if you are looking for the real Sicilian experience!"
