"We stayed for 1 night en route to Cefalu. It's quite off the beaten track with some windy roads. Our room was clean and tidy, basic but spacious with air conditioning! However, we asked for some food as we arrived in the evening, and whilst the small plates of tapas were enjoyable, the Manager proceeded to charge us €15 each (€30 total) for some ham, tomato and mozzarella, bread, aubergine and a bottle of water. "This is a beautiful property and a great location -- all for a reasonable price. I do recommend it but with a few caveats. The good: it's outside Cefalu (about a 10 minute drive to the center of town). As wonderful as Cefalu is, its quite busy and bustling...and this place is a peaceful haven. "During 8 weeks touring Italy as a family of 4 (2 children), this was our favourite accommodation by far. Very clean second story flat with more than enough room for us. The place has lots of character and was fully equipped with everything we needed for a lengthy stay. Lots of beach toys and furniture included. "My family and I had a wonderful stay at Alvise’s country cottage! He was incredibly friendly and helpful as a host. The location has a beautiful view and lots of privacy, which was more than worth the price. We were able to get some much needed rest and visit the surrounding sites, such as Cefalù, with ease.
