TRANQUILLITY HOUSE

The tranquility "is a Canarian house with 120 years old located in the village center of Tegueste, in the northeast of the island of Tenerife, 390 meters above sea level. Tegueste is characterized by its typical Canarian architecture and renowned agricultural tradition. The most representative crops are the vineyards and the different varieties of potatoes canary. The tranquility is only fifteen minutes drive from the nearest bathing place in the village of Bajamar and 20 minutes from the next bathing area in Punta del Hidalgo. It is ideal for lovers of walks or hiking. There are a series of short tours of the town of Tegueste own lasting between 20 minutes and an hour coming out from the door of the house itself. For those who like hiking, tranquility is just 100 meters from the start of two major paths to the heart of the Anaga Rural Park, a protected area with an extensive network of footpaths and space.
In "peace" offer all the amenities to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Thus, we offer our guests three bedrooms, a large room at the top of the house and two smaller. The total number of beds is five with up to five people. The house with high ceilings and hardwood floors also has a large living room of 30 square meters, bathroom and a spacious kitchen equipped with everything needed to prepare any meal. The house also has an inner courtyard Canarian style houses a beautiful garden with lush vegetation and overlooking the mountains.

Rolig beliggenhet med en fin liten hage. Mange fine detaljer i innredning, men huset var litt upraktisk. Alle kjøkkenredskapene var ikke like gode, savnet skarpe kniver. Innbød ikke til å lage de store middagene. Fint å kunne gå på fjelltur rett fra huset.

Sunshine, birdsong, flowers, and the usual roosters, barking dogs, and musical neighbors.
This place is tranquil, ample, and situated in a lovely village. Walking trails nearby are challenging but worth the effort. It was easy to buy good food and a pleasure to eat it on the dining patio. Altogether a deeply satisfying respite from the usual tourist offerings.

In diesem alten kanarischen Haus wohnt man wirklich in der Geschichte der Insel. Es ist hervorragend eingerichtet, könnte allerdings die eine oder andere Renovation und die eine oder andere Überholung an den alten Möbeln und dem Inventar gut vertragen. Die Gastgeber sind äusserst zuvorkommend wenn man sich wegen der Tücken melden muss. Wir kamen im Januar und wären über ein leicht vorgewärmtes Haus froh gewesen. - Der Garten ist ein Traum, die Strasse am Morgen nicht besonders ruhig. DANKE.

Schöner Garten, sehr altes, gut ausgestattetes, aber heruntergekommenes Haus
wer so ein altes Haus mit alten Möbeln, maroden Sanitäranlagen und sicher nicht ruhig gelegen vermietet, sollte dafür sorgen, dass wenigstens alles sauber und gelüftet ist. Der Mietpreis ist allenfalls dem schönen und auch sehr gepflegten Garten und den großzügigen Räumen angemessen. Ansonsten muss man den Moder, Staub und Gerüche schon gerne ertragen wollen, die viel von dem Reiz der sehr geschmackvollen Einrichtung mit schönen alten Möbeln nehmen. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet, die Vermieterin eine perfekte Gastgeberin. Tegueste liegt günstig für Wandertouren, das Dorf ist lebendig und schön. Für Langschläfer ist es v.a. morgens sehr laut, da das Haus direkt an einer dann recht befahrenen Straße liegt, im Garten hört man davon nichts. Für mehr als zwei Leute ist das Haus zwar flächenmäßig groß genug, leider müssen zwei Leute in einer winzigen Kammer ohne zu öffnendes Fenster schlafen. Die Betten sind alle sehr bequem.

Echte kanarische ländliche Idylle mit traumhaftem Garten
Wir haben uns während eines einwöchigen Aufenthalts in diesem schönen Ferienhaus in ländlicher Idylle rundum wohl gefühlt. Hier am Rand von Tegueste hört man noch die Hähne krähen und die Gänse schnattern, es ist wirklich sehr ruhig und erholsam. Der Empfang war sehr nett. Besonders toll fanden wir die altkanarische Möblierung des Hauses und den wunderschönen kleinen Garten, in dem man inmitten von blühenden Pflanzen die Sonne vom späten Vormittag bis zum frühen Abend genießen kann. Wanderfreudige Zeitgenossen kommen schon gleich hinter der Tür in dem bewaldeten Bergen Richtung Punta del Hidalgo auf ihre Kosten. Tegueste bietet sich besonders an als Ausgangspunkt für Touren in den Norden und Nordosten, aber auch jeder andere Punkt der Insel ist relativ schnell erreicht.

Nous avons passé un super séjour dans cette belle maison, un peu comme à la maison. La décoration est de bon goût ; c'est super agréable de profiter du salon. Les jours où il pleuvait, nous avons bien apprécié la belle cuisine et sa cheminée. A l'arrivée, une bouteille de vin, des fruits, et quelques petites choses dans le frigidaire nous attendaient. Les basiques sont fournis (produit vaisselle, éponge, huile, vinaigre, sel, poivre, alu...) Il y a toute la batterie de cuisine nécessaire pour cuisiner. Il y a une belle cheminée dont nous avons bien profité, un barbecue, des chaises longues... en 3 mots, nous avons adoré

Ein wirklich tolles Ferienhaus
Wir hatten ein sehr schöne Zeit in diesem Ferienhaus. Die Beschreibung auf der Website und in den vorigen Bewertungen ist absolut zutreffend. Ein großes Kompliment an die Besitzer: Es ist schon sehr bemerkenswert, wie der altkanarische Stil, gemischt mit modernen Ansprüchen, im Haus fortgeführt wird. Wir wurden ausgesprochen freundlich empfangen, fühlten uns auf Anhieb zuhause und hatten nicht das Gefühl, erst einmal „ankommen“ zu müssen. Tolles Ambiente, sehr schöner Garten, schöne Aussicht, also Entspannung ab der ersten Minute. Dadurch, dass wir wahrscheinlich die einzigen Touristen in Tegueste waren, fühlten wir uns sofort integriert. Ob in einer der „Bars", in Geschäften oder auf der Straße, überall herrschte eine nette Atmosphäre. Die Umgebung am Rande des Anaga-Gebirges lädt zu Wandertouren ein, um das „andere" Teneriffa kennenzulernen. Hinweis für Trailrunner: Einige Pfade zu den Gipfeln direkt vor der Haustür warten darauf, unter die Füße genommen zu werden.

Entspannen in ursprünglicher Umgebung
Wir haben mit unseren beiden Halbwüchsigen Kindern Ostern 2014 zwei Wochen in La Tranquilidad verbracht und können das Quartier rundum empfehlen. Wer ein individuelles Quartier mit Geschichte und historischem Flair dem üblichen Touristenstandard vorzieht kommt hier voll auf seine Kosten. Dem Haus sieht man seine gut 150 Jahre an, die Renovierung erfolgte sensibel und die Möblierung passt sich dem Stil des Hauses an. Auch bei der Ausstattung ist nicht alles neuesten Datums, aber alles was man braucht ist da und funktioniert. Highlights sind das Patio mit dem schönen, im Frühling üppig blühenden Garten, in dem man unbeobachtet sitzen und entspannen kann und in dem man auch an heißen Tagen immer schöne schattige Plätze findet, und der offene Kamin in der großen Wohnküche. Das Haus befindet sich recht zentral in Tegueste, einer typisch kanarisch-spanischen Kleinstadt, die sich unerwartet viel Charme bewahrt hat. Das heißt aber auch, dass es nicht immer sehr ruhig ist, das alltägliche Leben des Ortes lässt sich nicht völlig ausblenden. Dafür sind alle Einkaufsmöglichkeiten fussläufig erreichbar. Tegueste liegt Verkehrstechnisch ideal am Fuße des Anagagebirges - die Wanderwege beginnen wortwörtlich vor der Haustür - und in geringer Entfernung zu Santa Cruz, La Laguna und Puerto Cruz mit den wesentlichen Sehenswürdigkeiten von Nordteneriffa. Zusammenfassend, rundum perfekt für den vielfältigen Individualurlaub mit großer Familie oder zwei Paaren. Die Vermieter waren außerordentlich bemüht, die Organisation völlig problemlos. Wir wurden mit einer Flasche Wein und einer ersten Notausstattung an Lebensmitteln begrüßt, da wir an einem Sonntagabend angereist sind, die deutschsprachige Vermieterin stand während unseres Aufenthaltes jederzeit per Email und Telefon zur Verfügung. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

A lovely traditional Canarian house
We had a lovely two weeks in this house at Christmas. Its rustic and traditional and has a lovely garden. We sat out in the patio most mornings for breakfast and often for lunch as well. The house is well equiped with everything you could need really, except a dishwasher! We had to get used to washing up by hand again! The kitchen / dining room is particularly attractive and there is a fire place at work top level (in the traditional way) that you can light. It was very nice in the evenings to have a fire and sit around cooking and eating. The house is tastefully decorated with nice pieces of furniture, but it also has a sparse, minimalist quality which gives it a calm atmosphere - hence the name 'Casa la tranquilidad' We found it a very peaceful and enjoyable place to be. The town of Tegueste is pleasant also, - there were hardly any tourists other than ourselves, which must be rare in Tenerife. There are nice walks nearby, and you can see out to the landscape from the garden.
