"Once you’re at the lodge, it is perfect. The rooms are beautiful and the food at the restaurant is amazing. The service is phenomenal. We came for our honeymoon and I am so glad we chose SweetSongs. Transportation is probably the most complicated. We ended up renting a car and had no issues getting to the lodge. I would consider this more of a working ranch than a resort, as we felt like it's more setup for locals to Belmopan and cowboys than it is to the average traveler. Nice food, good overall value. Kind of a strange cowboy guy who apparently owns the property who was a little overly friendly to my girlfriend out of the blue. However seems that locals love him and have good things to say. "We loved staying at this property. Comfortable beds, and the villa was immaculate. Our kids loved having the outdoor shower(s) and private pool. If other people were staying on the property, we didn't see them. We did not rent a 4wheel drive vehicle, which is highly recommended. The road leading to the villa was VERY steep. We were fine, but if it had rained during our stay we might have a different opinion on that choice!"
