"We were greeted by a charming young man called Luke at check in Our first night was disrupted by the fire alarm going off at 10pm … then we were wakened by a couple having a full on fight at 5am doors banging , shouting and sweating woke us up and then could not get back to sleep :0( However second night was excellent , we had a nice dinner at the bar area and the service was excellent . Not the peaceful weekend we expected ! "

"The Malmaison was a lovely little get away for a night as a couple, nothing bad to say really other than sad no upgrade options were available when we checked in and the light in the room was broken so was quite dark. "Loved everything about the property. Staff were amazing , they were welcoming, warm, friendly and made every effort to make your stay a positive experience. The room we occupied was spacious and the bed was comfortable. There was plenty draw space to put your clothes into, but no hanging space. That said with the angles of the walls and the eaves of the room meant there was no place to actually fit a wardrobe for this purpose, so without major renovation to the room, this was beyond the hotels...

"Wonderful hotel in scenic Pitlochry. Our room was delightful and the bed was soooo comfortable. The breakfast room was beautiful. The sitting room off of the lobby was so warm and cozy with the fireplace burning. Great location. Breakfasts are all cooked to ordered. Excellent food but slow. We loved Pitlochary and hope to come back. "

Only negatives were no late room service due to having no stock on both nights understandable with it being 1st & 2nd January but slightly disappointing but got an UberEats so all good. Secondly despite late check out and confirming this with staff and putting do bot disturb sign on door housekeeping still came into room 2 hours before checkout time while we were in. Otherwise our stay was comfortable and pleasant. Bar staff were lovely as were reception...

"Really enjoyed our two-night stay in one of the turret suites. The hotel was still beautifully decorated for Christmas but very peaceful being a few days after Hogmanay. Overall condition of the building is excellent, especially given its age and historic nature, which must make it a real challenge to maintain.
