Le Temps Perdu: 88 Acre Wilderness Park between Historic Westport and Perth

Nestled in the gardens of Le Temps Perdu, away from the major city centers (the stars will amaze), you will find our rustic and charming, guest cottage. Unplug, relax and enjoy a true connection with nature. Hike the well maintained trails of the 88 acres of wilderness parkland. Spend cozy evenings by the fire. Free Wi-Fi for remote work. The guest cottage is an exposed log framed structure with a cozy open planned living space complete with a well appointed kitchenette. A small fridge, two burners and large toaster oven, a crock pot and the wood stove make cooking easy. Included are dishes, cast iron pans, utensils, dish cloths, tea towels, dish soap and paper towels. Water is provided from our well in a ceramic and glass dispenser. On the private deck at the rear of the cabin is a dining table, chairs and a charcoal BBQ.

We have collected over many years an eclectic selection of books , classic board games and puzzles for those wanting a break from screens.

The loft bedroom has a queen bed with feather mattresses Linens and duvets are provided.

The full bath is exclusive to our guests for the duration of their stay. It is accessed by a private entrance in the main house, 25 meters from the cabin, and provides a dramatic view to the forest and brook from the roll top bath.

The wood fired Finnish dry sauna is located just steps from the bath and cottage and is available for guests upon request. There is a 80$/hour fee. Robes and towels are included. Please schedule your session when booking the cottage. Available only during the winter months.

The cottage has a wood stove for those cooler nights along with electric oil heaters. AC in the summer months. For all seasons except the winter months the wood box will be full upon arrival at no charge. For each additional refills in the shoulder seasons there will be an additional charge of $25 per refill.

There is also a large fire place at the entrance of the forest for bonfires and star gazing. Free fire wood is available at the fire pit. We do not allow fireworks.

Situated on 88 acres, Le Temps Perdu allows for the rare experience of having such a large acreage all to your self. Our charming guest cottage is an adorable cabin in the woods. Although we seek connections to the many exciting cultural events and our local community, our priority is to provide a peaceful experience while maintaining an harmonic life with the nature that surrounds us. As animal lovers we invite you to bring your pets. We limit the cabin to one pet only.

Because Le Temps Perdu is a forested property we do not permit smoking on the property.
