"What a lovely place this traditional Austrian guest house is. It still retains that charm that I love, with traditional Austrian decor and architecture. I've been coming to Austria to ski for 30 years and this is one of the best stays I've had. The hostess was absolutely lovely and her hospitality was impeccable. "Great place to stay, not a very walkable area though. Bus comes infrequently, and getting anywhere without a car is difficult. Staff was very helpful, overall it was a great experience."

"This is a perfectly fine hotel ruined for me because the wifi didnt work in my room. As a solo travellor it keeps me in touch. Using wifi in common areas is not for me."

"Our only complaint was that one week here was not enough! We stayed for one week July/Aug 2024. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The bread service is such a nice extra perk! The kids loved the waterpark. The area is full of too many things to do! The kitchen had all we needed to eat in as often as we wanted. I couldn’t complain about anything but having to leave. "

"Anna was a superb host! It was my first time traveling internationally, and she made it a very welcoming stay with her warm demeanor. Breakfast buffet is plentiful and a guest mobility card is provided (different from summer card). I booked a double room which is small (I expected as such) but still very clean. Close to all the main transportation areas and walkable to downtown and Lake Zell. The view from my window was picturesque. Highly recommend!"

"Beautiful hotel complete with custom woodworks and excellent staff. The local area is a bit boring though so if your planning a very quiet weekend in the mountains, this is your spot. If your looking for a bit of a more lively environment I would look past the area. Beautiful hotel though. "

"The staff was nice. I won't use this site to book if we stay again. We had the squeeky bed in the diagonal room. The other rooms looked better. Book with them. Beautiful surroundings. Dinner was awesome and breakfast was great, with made to order eggs. Cooked correctly. (That's hard to find) No fan I guess and so that means open windows. Summer can get hot!"

Great Base Hotel

"This is a perfect location for those wanting to have a base and venture out and about. The rooms are perfect with tea and coffee facilities for that cuppa when you just need a drink. The beds are comfortable, the bathroom/wet room is fantastic with toiletries provided. Breakfast was excellent with both hot and cold options. The hotel has a bar with a great selection and excellent prices. There is a sauna which is available to guests. Highly recommend 👌. "

The Comodo Bad Gastein, a Member of Design Hotels

"Such and amazing hotel with outstanding design and service! The restaurant is great with very good breakfast as well as dinner options. The room was perfect, the bed was very comfortable and we had great nights of sleep. The only thing to comment on are the doors in the hallways as they close loudly and we could hear it in the room especially in the mornings. "

Shower is beautiful, kitchen area is great, beds comfortable, and really nice coffee maker setup. The area is not particularly walkable, as you are not in the town, but the hotel is along a main road and is very easy to drive to. Great view of mountains of Bad Gastein, and only 5-10 minutes drive into town. Owner spoke perfect English, in case that's important to you. :)"
