"Great stay all round at a good price"

"We are repeat customers. This is probably our 7th or 8th visit. Love the area...great for walks. Love how remote The High Corner Inn is. There seems to be a high staff turnover the past few years however bar and restaurant staff were excellent on this visit and couldn't have been more welcoming. Only two complaints...it has become quite expensive and the food quality is not as good. We all felt that the value for money in terms of food and drinks was not as good as in the past. "Bathroom needs some attention, had a bit of a problem over breakfast. It was included in my booking but wasn't available. They gave me a discount on my evening meal to make up for it. "

"We had a lovely stay here. So Christmassy but even other times of year so cosy felt homely. Reception was very welcoming room was decorated lovely and really felt like a retreat away from it all. Fires and Christmas trees . We ate in the restaurant and all the food was hot and delicious. Location was very central for village visits and walks it was tough to choose whether to go out for walks or just stay in the hotel and relax. We are already planning our next trip back"

"Pleasant room, we stayed in Annexe 15, nice little room with full facilities, was a little bit dusty but otherwise perfect. Super comfy bed, powerful shower and perfect location with great parking. The staff were great too."

"Sorry to say this but we had a great room, suite I think, but the let down was the bed. The mattress was completely collapsed and we had a very uncomfortable night."
