"Astoria Palawan has been my best experience in a resort so far. The service from any staff member ensuees that you are well looked after. The rooms are spacious enough, and very clean. The shower and baththrom is great witg the use of a bathtub for soaking. Breakfast buffet had a wide range of choices and came free with the room. "We've been here before so we already knew that the rooms are worn, that there's no WiFi in the room (and in the public areas where there is - it's poor), that the grounds need more attention, and that the public restrooms near the sports desk are disgusting. The boats are also awful, with uncomfortable plastic benches. We returned anyway because the view is spectacular, the pools are fantastic, and the food at the restaurant is OK and reasonably-priced. Having no other such island resort option...
