The room I stayed was alright, but the aisles of the hotel and the elevator were dirty.I clearly see mold and bugs there. If that are cleaned up and changed, this hotel should be good.
This is by far a half star property . The hotel outdoor walls are covered by sheets so wall damage is not visible. Inside the room nothing works ; mold smell the moment you walk into the property. I removed the comforter on bed and saw two bugs on the white sheet (photo available upon request ). Carpet probably not cleaned for decades . Pay a few bucks more and avoid getting mold and getting bitten by bugs
Hotel room is very dated, pics online look okay but nothing is working, broken TV and no A/C.
Had to contact Hotels.com to cancel the rest of the booking after the 1st night.
Nice location and good staff but the toilets floor didn’t not have a hole to suck the water from the shower. The toilet floor was ful of water which wasn’t nice.
Bed were too small, even a single person hardly makes room to move. They took in a couple with a kid for booking this type of room then was told at front desk that bed were good for 2 people only. The worst part was there was a small cockroach on the bedroom floor (which we have to terminate, yaiks). Close to shopping and restaurants though, and provides a full breakfast.
I have stayed at the Moon Hotel several times over the past several years for its good value and its decent location within Taipei. The hotel seems to cater more towards Asian guests, but the staff are friendly and some may be able to speak English to westerners. The room is comfy and has a large bathtub, and the bed is quite comfy. You have those amenities that cater to those visiting for some love getaways, but if you're just there to sleep and spend the day around Taipei, you can't really go wrong there since it's about a 10-15 walk to two different MRT stations. Overall, a no-fuss stay at a hotel that I will go back to in future visits to the city.
