"Munkebo is a lovely place. However we are both in our mid seventies and have slight mobility issues and were offered a room on the first floor and there was no elevator so we had to carry our heavy suitcases upstairs ourselves. The receptionist was not very responsive when I asked if only upstairs was available but continued to just walk upstairs. The room was very adequate and we really enjoyed the dinner at the restaurant. Next day we needed to check out early to be able to return our rental...

"I phoned the hotel at 14:30 on my day of arrival, as I would not be arriving until shortly after 20:00. I was told that the keys would be left in a locked box, and I was given the code. When I got to the hotel, although I could open the box, the keys were not there. Another couple who were staying there said the same had happened to them and gave me the contact telephone number. "The location was perfect for the business trip. The accomodation itself was clean and tidy although basic and was in need of an update. I ate in their restaurant and the food was excellent. The breakfast was satisfactory but thats just because no cereal available and basic continetal of meat, cheese and bread isnt my thing. The service was fantastic and friendly, I requested an irion and board and this was brought to my room within 2 minutes. I will use again when next in the area."
