"Property was very nice and clean. Just 3 cabins on site so a small establishment. The owner/manger seemed nice. There were pastries etc for breakfast but we had bagels with us which we toasted in the toaster in the cabin and had with some nice hot coffee. The roon was mostly well appointed. The bed was a bit soft for us but others may like it. Best part is you can walk to the lighthouse which makes great sense during sunset times. "

"The cottage was clean and well appointed. The beds were comfortable, We really enjoyed and made good use of the fire pit. It was all set up and ready to light. Southwest Harbor is my favorite place to stay on the island. It is much less touristy than Bar Harbor but still has some good dining options as well as a nice coffee shop. We had a great stay."

"Heavily misrepresented surrounded on three sides by construction equipments and various piles of refuse. Shed is divided in two, with construction porta potty as only restroom. Shower set up is illegally with dirty shower water going directly onto the forest floor, an environmental hazard. Entire area was dirty and porta potty was full. Was forced to find a different room last minute because the host was completely non responsive to multiple Messages and attempts to reach them. Only plus is that...

"This room is perfect for someone who is traveling or needs to stay the night on passerby travel. Very simplistic, but as long as you’re okay with minimals, it’s worth it. The host is very kind and helpful. The only thing (I’m sure you can ask if you need to) is first pulling up to the room, it’s a little further back down the driveway on the right. Other than that, perfect."

"We enjoyed our stay very much. If it had been warm enough to enjoy all of our meals outside that would have been wonderful. We didn’t plan or pack for any rain but when it poured for a solid day, we were thankful for the cabin’s shelter and wifi and umbrella when we went out. Although we brought an infant and a 2.5yo, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this property for such little/young kids unless you’re prepared for spotting them up and down the ladder. "This cottage was a pleasant change from the bustle of Bar Harbor. Although its small and cozy, it had what we needed for a short term stay. Barring a few check-in inconveniences, it was comfortable and we especially enjoyed the firepit that we spent time at after a long Acadia Park hiking adventure."

"We really enjoyed our 4-night stay at Loon Song Cottage. The cottage has a screened front porch, which you don't see often in vacation rentals. (So many times I have wished that we could keep the front door open, but can't without a screen.) The cottage is nice and new, and very clean. "Short two night stay on a girls' trip to explore Acadia and Bar Harbor. This was the perfect place for the 3 of us. Well-located, well-appointed, good space and comfy beds. The trail to the beach was a great bonus. I would highly recommend to others looking for a affordable option close to all the amenities but slightly out of the hustle and bustle."

"This is my 3rd visit to The Homestead Cabin - it is my annual respite that I look forward to every year. I couldn’t be happier with the calm, peace, and tranquility that this little northern piece of paradise offers. From the privacy of the cabin, the beauty of the shoreline, and the fresh air of the forest - I can think of nowhere else I would want to be. Thank you for yet another amazing year/vacation with you all!! I will definitely be back!!"

"What a wonderful stay! The cabins are new, well thought out, and equipped with everything you need including laundry detergent and dryer sheets. Sitting out on the screened porch in the comfy cushioned chairs was a favorite after our day’s activities. Very quiet and serene away from all the touristy stuff. Highly recommend staying here!"

Welcome to Poet's Cabin! This cute A-frame is the perfect Acadia vacation spot!

"We had a wonderful stay at the Poet's cabin. It is a nice little place for visiting the Acadia National Park area. It also has a very good sitting area outside and the hosts are very helpful and welcoming! The only issue is that the door opening to the bathroom is very low (I'm 6'2 and hit my head multiple times on the top of the door frame), and the shower is very small. The home is exactly as advertised and a great place to stay, but wanted any other "taller" people to be aware before booking."

"We enjoyed being away from the busyness of Bar Harbor. The cabin was close enough to everything but also remote. We enjoyed the backyard fire pit. The cabin lacked some things like a toaster, cookie sheet and ice cube trays. Our host tried to get those delivered but that was not easy. "

"This was a great place to stay for our little family while visiting the Bar Harbor/ Acadia area. The cabin was comfy and more than enough room for a family of 3. Everything was stocked well, very clean and well thought through with renters in mind. Both Bar Harbor and Acadia were about 10 minutes away and easy to get in and out of. The hike from the cabin was a perfect way to go see the sunset. Would absolutely stay again if we are in the area! "

"The unit was modern, extremely clean. Community fire pits stocked with plenty of wood just bring your own marshmallows 😎. We loved the communication. We received a welcome text the day before our visit and a text the day of our visit with the room code so there was no check in required. "
