"This property had almost everything you need. We were traveling from Oregon so we’re a little unhappy we had to buy sheets, towels just for a two night stay. This has always been provided in any short term rental we have booked, it should be required. Great location and parking. Very close to everything. "

"The house fit our needs perfectly! (My husband, two 11 year old girls and my parents) The house was clean and nicely decorated. Tons of decks to enjoy the outside! Having a golf cart is an added bonus and the girls loved taking rides throughout the weekend. Kitchen was stocked with everything you could need! We are looking forward to coming back here again, and would definitely recommend staying here to others. "

"3 night stay in March. First time in Canal House, 7th time visiting the Island.We need a property with as few stairs as possible and this fit the bill to a T! All one level with just a few stairs into the spacious house. Beds very comfortable, high quality linens/towels, great bathrooms and wonderful sitting and living rooms.Well equipped kitchen with NICE flatware and dishes.Very private and quiet.Great back porch, wonderful place to have cup of tea after a windy day fishing.Easy...

"While the house is a nice size and has good general amenities, it is a little beaten up and worn for the worse. Shades are broken or don't work, comforters were worn and even dirty, the furniture is a mishmash of different pieces and not well pulled together. Worst of all, the whole place smelled badly fishy when we first walked in and it never went away despite many scented candles etc. The mgt company is nice and tried to help but we left early as the house just wasn't comfortable."

"My best friend and our two boys had a duck hunt in Hyde County lined up. We needed a place to sleep and take a hot shower for the night and this place checked all the boxes. This isn’t the Hilton, but I wasn’t looking for a stay like that and didn’t want to pay that much. This house is just right for the location and the price. Everything was clean and met our expectations. Hope to see you again soon!"
