"3 night stay in March. First time in Canal House, 7th time visiting the Island.We need a property with as few stairs as possible and this fit the bill to a T! All one level with just a few stairs into the spacious house. Beds very comfortable, high quality linens/towels, great bathrooms and wonderful sitting and living rooms.Well equipped kitchen with NICE flatware and dishes.Very private and quiet.Great back porch, wonderful place to have cup of tea after a windy day fishing.Easy communication.Highly recommend this beautiful and rich in history rental for a peaceful relaxing experience ."

"My wife and I had a WONDERFUL time celebrating our 41 anniversary (Dec 30, 2024) and we LOVED staying at the Bluff Shoal Motel!! We GREATLY ENJOYED 5 days and 4 nights of peace and relaxation! The motel manager, Sissy, was EXCEPTIONALLY kind and helpful!! We understood that late December is NOT the tourist season and many stores and restaurants were closed. "Great get away! Traveled here on the off season and had a great view from our room. Hotel is convenient to restaurants and shopping. Enjoyed having a kitchenette so we could relax on the balcony and watch the sunset. "

"Little House by the Ferry was exactly as described. We wanted a weekend holiday get-away in the off-season and this trip hit the mark. The cottage is as shown in the photos and description. Since it was off-season and only a few on-island amenities were open, it was nice to have the little kitchen details like coffee filters, salt, pepper, etc. The cottage is in a very quiet area and easy walking distance to most places. Morning coffee on the screened porch with bird watching and lazy naps in the afternoon in the porch hammock. It is near a camp ground, which did not have any visitors at the time we stayed. "
