"We had a wonderfully peaceful stay, with two feet of fluffy snow over four nights. The property is absolutely beautiful, a classic northern Michigan landscape. Each day we took several long walks with our dog, over the wide trails and hills, and the rest of the time we read, cooked, and enjoyed the hot tub while snow fell all around. We never left the property until it was time to go. Perfect!"

We biked, fished, hiked, played golf at Manitou Passage, watched beautiful sunsets at the beach, and played games around the bonfire. Her home is so serene and well stocked with towels, kitchen utensils, and games. We would love to return to her Old Mountain home if we go back to the area. "This review is based on multiple considerations. Our niece was getting married in Traverse City MI region. Our group consists of 10 people, a combination of couples and single adults. We spent significant time looking at options that would accommodate our number plus the mix of individuals. We found a nice, wooded Chalet VRBO that met our needs. We reserved it and paid our fees a month before the wedding We were over halfway in our drive to the VRBO when I received a phone call from the Chalet...

"Beautiful home, beds/furniture were very cozy, kitchen was decently stocked with basic cooking needs. Also really enjoyed the layout of the home. The walk to the beach was across a busy road, so water access isn’t necessarily right off the property but still easy to get to. I’d say overall a great place to rent - great location!"

"We had a great stay at Johnny's cabin. We all cant say enough about it! The location was right in the middle of everything we wanted to see. Johnny was a great host and quick to respond. He's made some great decisions in creating his little getaway. It's definitely an older cabin, but with some interesting additions. First off, it's much bigger than you expect.
