"This is a wonderful place to stay, close to Orleans and within easy reach of both towns and countryside. The gîte was clean, very well equipped and the owner friendly, welcoming and helpful. The villagers were also friendly and forgiving of our French!! The swimming pool at the gîte was a high spot for us all and we swam every day. We would thoroughly recommend a stay here."

"Very welcoming host who was always available for help or advice if needed, but left us to enjoy the property by ourselves. The kitchen is really well supplied! Several reviews mention this, and it’s true. Also plenty of plates, glasses and cutlery which isn’t always the case. Very clean and comfortable. Excellent facilities. Locally, we probably weren’t very adventurous with restaurants etc, but we did use the excellent nearby tram service into Orléans. It’s affordable and runs every 20 mins....

"Nous avons passé un excellent WE dans un cadre ressourçant. Le gîte est spacieux, bien équipé et d'une propreté impeccable. Parfait pour 2 familles. nous remercions les hotes pour leur accueil et leur gentillesse, nos enfants ont adoré être au plus près des animaux de la ferme!"

Nous avons été obligé de laver la vaisselle avant de pouvoir nous en servir. Du matériel d’entretien hors d’usage. Aucune notice d’utilatiin sur le l’électroménager sur l’utilisation "

Le matelas est mou et effondré dans le centre. très difficile d'y dormir sans avoir le dos cassé. Pour moi, la proximité de la route où les voitures roulant à 90 km a été un problème. Cela gâche ce cadre champêtre."

Il est par ailleurs très bien équipé (électroménager, vaisselle, radiateur, sèche serviettes, lits 160 et faits...) neuf et très propre. On s'y sent bien, comme chez soi, et l'espace y est très appréciable. L'accueil est très agréable. Pour finir, le cadre est également très plaisant puisque situé dans l'enceinte du château et de sa ferme. Idéal !"

"We stayed for 9 days to relax, visit Paris and boulder in Fontainebleau forest. Gîte du Val D’auneau was the perfect base. Incredibly spacious, private and well appointed, we didn’t want for anything. Excellent pool area kept the kids happy for hours a the lovely covered outdoor dining area was a wonderful place to eat. Andréa and Philippe were the perfect hosts, they answered a questions promptly but allowed our privacy. Very highly recommended "
