"We had such a lovely stay at L'Echappee Belle. The rooms are comfy, spacious and clean and the house and grounds are beautiful, with lots of fruit and veg growing throughout the grounds which our hostess Sophie uses for her excellent guest dinners and breakfasts. "Beautiful place to say with spacious gorgeous amenities,great welcome and lovely breakfast.We arrived Tuesday so most local eateries were shut .There is a reasonable restaurant 12 kilometres away but we opted for a straight forward dish at the local walkable pizzaria which was fine .In fact there is free use of the kitchen & Madame keeps a healthy stock of wine & beer that you can purchase.It would have been far more sensitive to bring our own food - next time if it’s a Monday / Tuesday."

"the location is stunning the host is very nice and responsive but unfortunately the property has not been cleaned prior to our arival it was dusty, sticky and the toiled smelled of wee. We where very disappointed. We do travel a lot as a family and I have seen a number of properties. This one needs a deep clean . It has been advertised for a family but the indoor dining table is way to small like the water cooker for a family of 5 (and my kids are still small). I would have loved to rate it...
