"Beautiful views from the top viewpoints of the hotel. Turn-down service was excellent. A very large property so it can be a long walk navigating the property. Multiple onsens, the cave onsens are fantastic and amazing view."

"booked to visit the waterfall & World Heritage sites, which were sublime, and we equally enjoyed the hotel experience. gorgeous lobby felt like a mossy forest. we had beautiful ocean & mountain view from room & from onsen. the meals were a taste of Japan prepared especially for our vegetarian diets, which we sincerely appreciated. there were dance performances that we did not expect that were a treat. & the short walk around the coastal corner to see an island torii gate was a cherry on top. I don’t know if we will ever be back in this part of the world, but dream of returning & would book this hotel again. friendly staffthank you so much! "

"Hotel was an 8 minute walk from the train station, easy as. Hotel was clean and staff friendly and welcoming. Room was gorgeous, traditional Japanese room with the most amazing view over the water, sunrise and sunset was beautiful. Room was very comfortable as was the futon for sleeping. Bathroom in the room (no shower) and the room had everything you needed. Bathing: hotel has a male and female (separate) sento/onsen (communal bathing). Common at the more traditional hotels. You have your modesty towel 😅 to use if you wish. Mattered were two male baths- indoor and outdoor. Indoor was beautifully hot and large in size and being indoor, the steam is a great feeling. Outdoor one is smaller (4 people), and is nice and warm and allows a good balance of being able to moderate your body temperature. Both look at our the water. Don’t be shy to go and use these facilities, great place to talk with people whilst relaxing or keep to yourself. Town is an old port town and is very quiet, not many cars around or people. By 6pm you might see a handful of people walking around. Dining options are limited outside the hotel but they are there, if you walk around the street you will find enough dining options. It’s a beautiful town and easy trip to Nachi taisha. Info office at the station if you need, they speak English and happy to help you. Great time and highly recommend this hotel."

"This was a very cozy stay. All amenities and documentation were well prepared and the place was clean. The host was very quick to reply on Expedia (less than 5 minutes) even at 20:00/8:00pm. If you have a family, having a rental vehicle is a must since walking is unsafe, especially in the evenings. Parts of the walk from Shimosato station and Taiji station do not have sidewalks. Access to the the Nachi area for Kumano Kodo pilgrimage route isn't the closest as you'd have to take train and bus, which can take up to an hour in total. If you have a vehicle this place is perfect!"
