"Lovely stay! Rooms were very clean, food was absolutely lovely, the only thing i would change is the layout in the dining area for getting teas and coffees at breakfast as it was very congested and not enough space to get your drinks! but apart from this i would definitely stay here again! Many thanks for a nice chilled out stay."

"I stayed here as I was running a training session the next day at this venue. The hotel is quite old and the decor reflects this. I was in room 302 which was pleasant. Ensuite was good, large shower. Room had a desk, as well as a occasional table with 2 chairs. TV in room was okay but channel guide button on control did not work."

"Nice enough hotel, the rooms were a little small so probably best to opt for premium if you require bigger room. The room standard was on a par with premier inn apart from bed not quite so comfy. The hotel had a leisure club with pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. All again were small but as it wasn't that busy it was ok. "On the whole, a nice hotel. Fantastic staff, always helpful. There were a few issues that let the hotel down. Carpet on ground floor corridor to rooms was loose and tended to bunch up. This would be a trip hazard to those not steady on their feet. The carpet in our room (63) was stained in a number of places, and was looking tired. The door to our room did not close due to rubbing on the carpet. The door to the toilet made a tremendous squeel when shutting and opening. There were stains on the...

"Amazing wonderful stay in Colchester once again. We’ve stayed at this hotel several times before. On the plus side we were given a free upgrade to a wonderful room with the balcony. Hotel is part of the George Hotel which I strongly recommend for a Sunday lunch. All staff at hotel were amazing "
