"Only there for a night. The host/manager could have done a better job explaining how to get there, instead of simply suggesting to use Waze maps! Also, they are building a new house at the bottom of the property, so it's a little dangerous having to walk thru a construction site to get to the beach down below. "Do not know where to start. WE PREPAID when we registered, but the owner said we needed to make another full. There were only two plates, no cutting knives, the glasses had sticky goo all over them, the stove did not work, there was no drinking water available. "We found out last minute that Expedia had overbooked the property so we were left without accommodations for multiple hours on each day. Luxury Atitlan did its ultimate best to accommodate our stay. We would love to hear back from Expedia as we were forced to move on four separate occasions. One particular night was completely off-site and was not comparable to what the nightly cost was. "

"If you do stay in one of the properties this guy owns do NOT give him cash! He is a scammer, asked us to pay him cash because according to him he had not received payment from Vrbo/HomeAway and our pending charge on our credit card would be removed. He charms you with good customer service and seems trust worthy but DO NOT GIVE HIM CASH! We've been trying to get a refund for almost a year now and Vrbo hasn't done anything about it either! "It is set out as a Luxury apartment but can't really qualify as such. It is nice, but quite noisy as it is right next to a restaurant with live music. Also quite smelly from all the restaurants' grey water just flowing into the lake outside the windows. The bathroom is also very damp with mold on the walls. Everything else was good though, and the hosts were very responsive."

"Definitely surprised about this beautiful loft that reminded me of Lisbon, Portugal! Every corner had so many curated details. Art, comfort, luxury and convenience! The housekeeper was very kind and helped me throughout my brief stay! Definitely coming back soon! I recommend this for single people or small groups. I’d only add an automatic garage door! (If you’re planning on returning late to the property!) 5 stars! "

"Beautiful property in an amazing location, with amazing views from the room and common areas. Don’t forget to check the upstairs pool area, which has even better views. The hotel restaurant is excellent. I was a bit disappointed with the steakhouse Kinik, down by the shore, so I recommend you stick with the main restaurant. I also took the private motor boat to the pueblos; although pricy, it was worth the convenience. The concierge gave me good and accurate recommendations I highly recommend this place"

"Everything was wonderful. The only thing was we had to leave early (6:30am) on the day we left and were told someone would come help us with our bags but no one came. Usually this would be okay but the stairs were too steep for us with our luggage to do on our own. "

"Second time at La Posada de Don Rodrigo and I would come back again. The place is beautiful with an amazing view to the lake. The staff is extremely nice and always ready and willing to help. They have a lake view restaurant with excellent traditional Guatemalan food. The pool was clean, the patio was also clean and nice to rest on the hammocks. The staff helped us get a boat to cross to the towns across the lake and we had a great time. This hotel is in a very convenient street which you can come out at night and buy stuff, food, see the lake and take amazing pictures. Parking on site, WIFI, museum on the premises and restaurant. Excellent place I would recommend for a family trip. "
