"The property is an old mansion turned in the hotel. Location is terrible in the middle of nowhere, the restaurant is nice, downstairs sitting area is nice, but… no elevator, it’s dark to get up the wooden stairs and you have to look for switch to continue the climb. The room is small, sparse and stuffy. No screen on the window , so when we had to open the window in order to breathe, we were bitten by mosquitoes. I didn’t sleep at all. No coffee station or kettle in the room. Wasted money"

"Basic hotel convenient for an evening arrival on the ferry for those who don't want to drive far on the first night. Hotel overlooks open countryside to the town beyond. Rooms could do with better soundproofing, ours was just above open reception area and quite noisy and we could hear water pumping around all the time."

"We only stayed here for 1 night en-route to Santander from the Algarve, the room for 4 was OK for this but may be a little small for a much longer stay. Room was comfortable enough & well sound proofed considering hotel is on a main road. Buffet breakfast was standard eat all you want continental buffet and was quite good. "We booked as 2 families with small children.. We booked 9 months in advance. We were given rooms on different floors. They were not interested in helping to overcome. A coach arrived when we were trying to book in. A line up of over 60 people with 1 person on reception. Spoke to manager in morning. Probably the rudest manager I’ve dealt with.
