"Location excellent near the train station. Extremely comfortable spacious room with a small separate sitting area. Service was great. Good sized lobby. Breakfast as excellent. Large choice of food and there were some regional baked goods we enjoyed that we had never seen anywhere else in Germany. Very relaxing sauna. We were only there for one night. "So time of year is a major factor when booking at this hotel as with most authentic German hotels there is no AC in the rooms. Avoid a sunny room because masonry buildings retain heat from the day. The breakfast room and courtyard dinning were superb."

"Lovely property with generous sized & tastefully decorated rooms. Staff at reception & the bar were very helpful & spoke excellent English. Our meal in the bar (club sandwiches) was tasty, fresh & not greasy. The only negative was that for the “comfort” rooms in the heritage part of the property, there is no lift to help with heavy luggage, however a staff member happily took my husband’s luggage upstairs."
