"We booked a stay at this hotel based on reviews and photos but to be honest we did not even check in. When we arrived, we walked up the "hill" to the entrance and there was literally no sign of life. Doors and windows were shut - we did not see any people or hear noises. We did not even see a store of any kind. My apologies to the host, but when we arrived, we saw a sign "be back soon" and we decided this was not the place for us to stay. "We had an amazing travel experience at this villa. Giuseppe, the owner, was great and responsive. He helped us not only with an early check-in, but also helped us to organise an outstanding anniversary dinner with the best Italian wines, great food, and beautiful decorations.
